A chronically SLEEPY G4

Postby American Oyaji » Wed Jun 16, 2004 9:52 pm

Anyone heard of this? A G4 that goes into sleep mode suddenly against the users wishes, and if you wake it up, it goes right back to sleep.

Not sure.. CS might be able to help.. Or try asking the same question in these forums:

http://discussions.info.apple.com/

http://macaddict.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=18&sid=0629161817b84490724bf6782ba84420

I usually get a response within a day, if you can't find a post where your question's already been asked..

Good luck,

AO,
I'll bet you just need to go into your system prefs>energy saver. Set the sliders to "never sleep" or "best performance".

That is, if you are on OS X. If you are in OS 9 still, it's a Control Panel also called energy saver I believe.

What OS version? There are known power-management bugs with earlier versions of OS X.
