New Fat-Busting Microwave Oven Unveiled
Mon Aug 23, 7:28 AM ET >> Technology -
TOKYO (Reuters) -
Eyeing up that juicy steak but worried about your waistline? Japanese electronics maker Sharp Corp. (6753.T) says it has developed a new fat-busting microwave oven that can melt some of your worries away.
....the microwave generates "superheated steam" at a temperature of about 572 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt fat and reduce oil and salt from steak, chicken, fish and other foods...can remove eight times more fat off a 200 gram beefsteak than if prepared in a frying pan, leading to a 13 percent reduction in calories.... can also reduce salt content in fish and limit the loss of vitamin C in vegetables...

And the suit that comes with it (so you can operate it safely without fear of glowing in the dark) comes in three attractive colours ...

Sharp is a fabulous company.

The products the develop are all fantastic. I wonder if they are getting paid for their patents by Sony, Panasonic, and the other copycats???

Gee, it's my day to say, NO WAY JOSE!

Sharp sucks.

Sharp and Sanyo are in the race the lowest durablity/longevity/quality
(with the Shame-of-Japan, the boneheads at Sony constantly blowing their former lead and reputation).

Ok, ok, I'm cede to you that the Sharp's LCD/LED tech is great if not the best. But ohmy Bejeebus Buddha bastard lovechild, Sharp makes shit refrigerators, aircon, audio equipment, etc.

Without refuting you --- Sony just copies Sharp - consistently.
What you say basically would support that claim.

Hitachi refrigerators are worse. I vehemently reccomend against them.

"Who'd want to conduct interviews with a year-end hango

"Sony just copies Sharp": Ah-haaaa, that must be the reason why Sony quality is getting worse and worse.

Refer to Terrie's Job Tips
(Terrie Lloyd is CEO of the Daijob.com employment agency)
]The Right Time to Call

... businesses, and certainly the foreign firms, don't have a set time to hire, there are definitely times when they don't hire.

For example, you would find it difficult to find anyone willing to bring on a new person just before a major holiday period (unless, of course, they're looking for someone to relieve a vacationing employee).

There are 3 holiday periods before which, the recruiting activity in Japan really slows down. These are: firstly, Golden Week...Second, there is Obon... in the middle of August...

Lastly, there is the New Year's break, which is really disruptive. In fact, this period is usually only 3-4 working days long, but for some reason the change of the year knocks almost 6-8 weeks out of the recruiting calendar. Not many companies will hire for the whole month of December and for the first 2-3 weeks of January. In January the reason is understandable, because everyone is out visiting clients and wishing them the best for the New Year (an activity which is a necessary sign of respect for the client). But why no one hires at the beginning of December is not exactly clear - maybe it's something to do with all the Nomikai (drinking bouts) the business managers need to attend with their customers?! Who'd want to conduct interviews with a year-end hangover?

Sony's pathetically clueless, dog-poop-for-brains copies

"Sony just copies Sharp": Ah-haaaa, that must be the reason why Sony quality is getting worse and worse.

The "Sony Way" as found on the wallet card of every Sony salaryman is, "To make something novel and beautiful to you---and the public with love it too." Orginally when "Mr Sony" Morita was around, this meant "catagory creating" and "catagory busting" products like the Walkman. In recent years, shamefully has meant copying the best feature sets of products of other companies like Sony's pathetically clueless, dog-poop-for-brains copy of the iPod.

ADJUSTED: Sony copies Sharp Corps innovative products.

BTW: Sony is not known to have the highest quality... but rather to be the first to market with compact products.
