Hi all, just stumbled onto this site and have been here for the last few hours catching up. Do you think I could have that time back please? I could use it in so many other ways, but would they make me laugh as much?!?
I figured this is as good as any place to ask a techie question, nothing too geeky though. Got to say I'm a bit worried about spelling and grammer with all those english teachers watching. Shite should have capitalised the E in english, shite did it again.
soooooo to rapidly move onto the point of my post.
I need an external harddrive, I want a 160 GB 7200 rpm firewire connection for less than 20.000 yen.
In my neck of the woods (Nagano) We only have a couple of stores to choose from and none provide what I'm looking for. I can get a 5400/160/firewire HD easy enough but Japan, so far, doesnt seem to see the need for a decent speed hard drive.
Mail order from the states/uk is working out to be around 250 bucks (US) when shipping costs are factored in which is more than I want to pay.
Is there a Japan based mail order company that can provide what I'm looking for or even a Japan domestic model number with which I can track down the suppliers. Failing that a cheap import would also suffice/do/hit the spot.
(How am I doing with the grammer/spelling?? Did you spot the splitt infinitive? I had to look up what a splitt infinitive is, do you?. Hang on, isn't Splitt a town in eastern Europe?)
Looking forward to spending many happy hours venting my everyday frustrations on you all, of which, I have many.
And again to return to the point of my post, any suggestions?
