The cylindrical display... shows a solid image on a rotating screen by projecting composed multiple images reflected by 24 mirrors set around the screen.

MAKUHARI, JAPAN:Japanese electronics giant Pioneer unveils a new 3-D image system called "Floating Interface" which displays images in midair, at the annual Ceatec, Asia's largest electronics trade show in Makuhari, suburban Tokyo, 05 October 2005. The picture shows a 3-D computer graphic character, "Haruka", virtually standing at a reception to greet guests at the exhibition.

The institute unveiled the device on February 7 in a demonstration that showed off the device's ability to project three-dimensional shapes of white light.....
