Anybody know anything about so-net ADSL?

Anybody know anything about so-net ADSL?

My boss arranged for them for my internet service (I would've gone with YahooBB and used the BBapply website, but they went and set up everything before I was even moved in to my place), but I have no service as of yet.

Oh, I've got an ADSL modem, and the ADSL light is lit up, but the entire thing has to be configured, and all of the configuration for the modem is in Japanese.

Even so, I've muddled through it - with a lot of help from Sherlock and Systran to figure out what each blank is. The only snag is that I don't know if it wants me to make up a new username and password (which will then be sent on to the HQ) or if I was supposed to have been sent one with my modem. My boss's husband was supposed to have come and done this (last Friday), but I got tired of waiting for him to (maybe) show up whenever he decides he's got time.

Without knowing that last bit of info, I'm stuck, and back to stealing wifi access from a neighbor.

Anybody ever used so-net? And if so, do you know if they're supposed to have sent a username and password with the modem?

Same thing on the yahoobb side, they sent me my id and my pw. I don't recall having to install any software though.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it's active. The proper lights are lit up, it's just a matter of the username/password at this point. I called my boss last night and it turns out those got dropped off at work (by her husband) after I'd left work yesterday. (Though I've had the modem for almost a week....) She read them to me off the note and they didn't work. I'll give it a look myself today and see if I can't figure out what's wrong.
