What's up,

I applied to Sophia University Faculty of Comparative Culture for September as a degree student. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what they think of it, or what they know of it. I hear if I'm accepted in two weeks and before I make my final descision I want to know if it is the right place to go or not.

If it's the study of "Comparative Culture" in English, expect a lot your so-called "bilingual" classmates working as sea anchor to class discussions (class discussions at Sophia and Temple are slowed down and dumbed down even worse than the NHK News in engrish.)

I think "dumbed down" is probably a good thing, for me at least, as long as I can maintain good enough grades. I'm living in the US right now and I heard Japanese university students are pretty big slackers. I'm not saying that I'm a slacker but I can be lazy sometimes. As long as I can learn something I think I'll be happy. I've been to Tokyo a bunch of times and it's a great city with a lot to do. Any more help or insight would be great.
