College-level Homestays?

Alright... so in high school, international students have host families to live with. My question is, in order to save money by not living on campus, would any Japanese families take in a college student? Has anyone heard of this happening? I mean, who knows, maybe you could luck out and end up with alcoholic host parents that have two barely-legal twin daughters? Hey, sometimes all we've got are our dreams

Yeah -- more likely you end up with the alcoholic parents, senile grandparents and a mangy chihuahua. The daughters have long since left and are living in a no-zo-ki apartment in Shinjuku.... Oh , don't forget, you have to share the futon with grandma.
