Expat Adviser: Teaching in English in Tokyo

Q:My wife moved us from Miami to Tokyo for her new job, and now I'm looking for part-time work. I've heard about opportunities teaching english abroad. Do I need some sort of certification? Will it help my case since I am already here and living with my wife as opposed to coming from the U.S.? I have not been a teacher before and do not know much Japanese.

A:There are many countries where you would have a difficult time finding an English teaching job without a certificate, but fortunately for you, Japan is not one of them.....
