I have heard through a friend, it was good. Sorry, I don't have access to the friend to offer you more info. But what I did hear from a couple of people was postive.
Nor do I know anyone who has gone there as a student. But I do know someone who has taught there. Based on that small experience I would say stay as far away as you can...perhaps even flee to a country that does not have a Temple University.
This teacher taught a sociology class at Kanda Gaigo Daigaku. The class was in English, which she was fluent in...I guess. Basically she just rambled for 3 hours while I drew or worked on Japanese homework. Totally uninteresting teaching, not worth my time, definately not worth money.
But that's just one teacher.... *shrug*
Actually speaking of Kanda Gaigo Daigaku, it's got a pretty decent reputation from what I hear....The resident faculty (not visiting teachers like I had) seem to be pretty decent. The students are really nice, they have quite a few English taught classes, tuition is pretty reasonable, I think. I'd recommend it, but I'd also recommend shopping around. This Kanda is in Makuhari...There's another one in the actual area of Kanda. Oh! That reminds me...Sophia, or Zyouchi or whatever it's called in Japanese, University is also pretty decent from what I hear.
