**** FREE **** Snow!!

Postby james » Mon Jan 12, 2009 11:18 am

we are currently experiencing an overstock of this item, and thus for clearance purposes, it will be made free of charge* to the general public on a first come, first serve basis while quantities last.

*buyer pays shipping, no refunds or exchanges

Yellow, if you're unlucky. ;)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

:lol:

"Blue ice" should also be avoided.

However, red/pink "watermelon snow" sounds interesting. ;) Anyone ever seen that?

Unfortunately, our shipping account seems to be frozen - that means snow funds. :oops:

we just got through about 70+ cm and now they've projected that it's supposed to snow straight through to saturday with 50cm in the immediate forecast.

First day of school back at the university, and nobody thought to plow the parking lot after two huge dumps of snow. Nobody could park, half the cars are stuck, people can't get in or out. Now that is using your head. But James, you are an Ottawa boy, this must be just like home for you. Mind you Ottawa never got dumps like that did they. But they do in the Ottawa valley. My parents up in Eganville have been snowed in for days.

we never quite got it this bad in the west end. sure, we got lots of snow, but the amount we're getting here stretches credulity. roads here are a mess this morning and thankfully i didn't have to be anywhere. i've started cancelling my classes for tonight. will probably just get drunk and play mario kart on the wii.

i think we're about to break a record and that we're getting more than a few years ago when we got the most we'd had in 40 years (not that i was around to remember it!)

The biggest difference is that the snow here is that heavy wet shit that is a bitch to shovel. At home it was much more fluffy and powdery, which in many cases would blow away if you were lucky. Or make huge snow drifts that would swallow your car, but that is another story.
Left school today, and couldn't see a thing. Visibility must have been 3 meters. We got 11cm of snow in less than 30 minutes. Now it is starting to rain and they are calling for thunderstorms. How fucked is that.

well at least 120+cm in total over the last several days (that's in addition to 40-50 that had already come down) and a brief 12hr respite later, we are getting more. at least 40cm has been forecast with the expectation that it will snow through tonight until noon tomorrow.

it's now piled up past my window ledges and with the next batch that falls off the roof, the mountain should be high enough for me to climb up on to said roof.

i'll have to get some pics tomorrow because this is fucking brutal.

"Make hay while the sun shines", lads.

Snowed In? Seven Flaky Things to Do

. . . [#4 -] CREATE AN ICE SCULPTURE
. . . more

Build sculptures to rival the Sapporo Snow Festival.

To name but one theme - sculpt your own versions of FG members, for example:
 • Greji as, or with, a goat;
 • AO (not to scale, of course. I don't think you have that much snow yet :p);
 • Charles riding a big Kangaroo - or vice versa :p ; and/or
 • Take-chan standing on a little replica of Dokdo island.

Hours, days, even weeks, of fun!

Maybe we should make this an annual event for FGs to compete in?
