Wanted, triple A rating.

Postby Coligny » Sun Jan 15, 2012 8:54 am

Was misplaced last friday, can't find it anymore. So searching for a replacement triple A (AAA) rating from some rating agency. (Kenya based one not wanted kthxbye).
Please call ASAP French Prseidential Palace of L'Elysee, ask for little Nico, use keywords "out of size 3 batteries". Need it before monday morning. Willing to trade for Italian Hookerbitch and her guitar, can't sing well but sort of tie the room together and is great talking points at parties.

Call before Monday. Thanks

So how politically damaging do you think this credit downgrade is to Sarkozy and his administration? Big deal or not so much?

Sarkozy stated to his staff one month ago that he would be finished if there was a downgrade...

I know he was touting it as a testament to his leadership at that time, but rhetoric aside, I'm curious to hear about its effect now that the credit rating has actually been downgraded.

Don't know... I would never guessed that Dubya would be in for a sexond run...

But our mouthbreather while being as stoopid as the texas guy made the mistake to think he's the sit Paris Hilton style and never missed an occasion to show how much of a pretentious asshole he was. Might kill his reelection more than whatever he did concerning the presidential job...

As for the financial side... DO YOU REALLY WANT the point of view of a guy who thought the death of S.J. would kill the value of aapl shares ?

Right on, man. Thanks.

Yeah I was interested in your take regarding the credit downgrade as it relates to Sarkozy's political fortunes not so much as to the financial impact of the downgrade, whatever that may be, if anything at all.

A downgrade from triple A to double A+ seems more of a political/public relations issue for Sarkozy than a serious economic one.

For the common people losing 3A is bad for bankers and traders, so they like it... without really understanding what is it aboot... Unless it raise the cost of the baguette explicitly they might not factor it in their choice... To be honest... I think that any financial austerity measure done to save 3A rating would kill him more efficiently than losing it... Commoners would see this as suffering put on their back to protect the financial world... NO GOOD... NO GOOD at all...

The few remaining rich people will be pissed (maybee) but that's not going to change the issue of the vote... Maybe just the financing of his campain... will have to sell more weapon illegally to Iran to pay for it...

If Sa Race could chime in... I haven't seen Frankreich for so long that I can't remember the smell... He's more fresh out of the sceptic tank...

^ That is to say politics is perception. Not a novel idea to be sure but one that is certainly relevant.

I agree in most economies the thought of having to stomach the effect of any fiscal austerity measures is so distasteful to the average individual that it is often tantamount to political suicide for those in power trying to affect such policies. That's why politicians are often so eager to kick the can down the road to let others deal with the mess that usually gets compounded over time but the lack of policy making to address the cause and not merely the symptom is usually deleterious to say the least.
