Need a laptop..

Bugger! My laptop is bust! Am complete spastic re*computers, actually know fuck all about them.Basically I have (had) Windows ME and only use it for internet. Anyone help me out here? Cheers

Drop Windoze like a 10 Yen ho and get yourself a Powerbook or iBook running OSX. For internet dealings, Safari will rock your world. You'll thank me later.

Office Duties?

Are you interested only in a windows based solution, or would apple tempt your palate?

Do you prefer mobility or performance?

What is your budget?

Do you prefer style or functionality?

After you answer some of those questions, perhaps a more well informed response will be forthcoming.

Right, well functionality is more important. Don't do any of the above, just using internet for Fg and emailing etc. Prefer Windows cos can't listen to BBC radio on Apple.

Budget? Dunno. Whatever is cheap , I 'll probably have to go for second hand.

BBC uses both real (ugh) and wmp (double ugh) as their "formats," right? You can use both of them on a Mac my friend, though its a shame those are the only ones BBC supports.

have to agree.. have 2 laptops, 2 towers here on xp and after borrowing a mates g4 powerbook, unless you are really stuck on a paticular wincrap app, a nice apple is the thing to go for...
