Looking for serviced apartments (condominiumin Kyoto

Postby shindays » Sun Sep 15, 2013 11:56 am

Anyone know any affordable short term rental options for serviced apartments (condominium style) in Kyoto? Only in Japanese is fine. Something closer to 5万 than 10万 per month=)

That is the worst spelling mistake I have seen all day in the thread title congrats. I'm not even sure how that would be pronounced. No idea myself to answer your question but condos don't really exist here I think? Look for a housing development type thing maybe? No idea. Someone else will clue you in I am sure.

Or "monthly mansion". Sites like this: http://www.weekly-mansion.com/kyoto/ will maybe be of use.

Although if 5万/month is a target, "gaijin house" might be more appropriate...

The term "serviced apartments" generally refers to places that are a minimum of 20 (or even 40, or 60) man/month and have a maid and things like that. "Gaijin house" would work, as would "guest house" or "share house". Here's one in Kobe for 6 man/month: http://www.e-guesthouse.com/kobe/

In my young years I stayed at Banana House in Osaka. Seems to be 55,000 Yen / month nowadays. Not too far from Kyoto either.

They now also have Orange House, Melon House, Lemon House, and Apple House.

Don't be surprised if you meet fruitcakes there...
