Hello everyone.
After two interviews (both in Japan -- one this March and another late last month) I got a job at a fairly prominent Japanese company, or rather, I got a 内定 (naitei) and I accepted the position. I have already sent the documents that my company has requested of me to start the visa application process so now I am just waiting.
My question is: have any of you heard of situations where visa applications have been rejected?
I am a citizen of the United States with a Bachelor's Degree in Asian Studies () which I obtained just last month. I passed the JLPT1 years ago and spent one year at a Japanese University. After a bit too much thinking, however, I started to wonder what I would do if my visa application was rejected, so I would like to hear any rejection stories you all may have.
The two issues that I am particularly worried about are the following: I goofed off quite a bit in University and my GPA isn't very good and I forgot to pay the last month of my 国民健康保険 (Kokumin Kenkou Hoken) before returning back to the United States after my year at University in Japan. I am not sure if grades or outstanding balances have much influence on the visa application process, but if anyone could provide any insight on the topic, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you all in advance.
