With luck you too try to collect on short-sheeted wages, racially rejected from over-priced slum housing while working as an illegal alien in a collapsed, radioactive concrete bunghole.

Ok...checklist time.
1) Do you have a degree from a 4-year college?
2) Have you saved up at least $4-5,000 (at least) to move here, get an apaertment, get situated, etc?
3) Since bars won't sponsor your VISA, do you have someone who will? If not, be prepared to do the 3 months and Korea run and return...which is sometimes dicey regarding whether Japan lets you back in.
4) Again with the VISA nonsense....if you have no work VISA, opening a bank account, finding an apartment, etc., is a bitch and a half.

No offense, Japan doesn't think your film ideas are anything special, so don't expect any open arms. Unless you really have a true substantial way in, and a planned means of escape should things not work out, come for a vacation, spend some time sniffing things out, but don't even think of moving here on a lark or a hard-on for J-vag, manga, anime, etc.

Jobs at Pauke German Bar - Be Aware
you have seen any advertise for this place, be careful.
The owner is a mercenary, will not pay you, specially the transport.
The owner also is the chef, he choose the people who enter in the restaurant and serves Becks as Paulaner for high prices.. Anyway, just take care. It is better to be a unemployed man, than work a whole month, spend with transportation and not be paid.

They will use as excuse that "yu donto spe-ku japanese, no may probrem"
"They tuk ur yabs!"
