Choosing pension schemes

Postby GomiGirl » Wed May 08, 2013 11:56 am

Question for a friend thinking of taking a new job. Australian living in Japan long term but will eventually move back to Australia at some point.

If you were able to choose between EPI (Kosei Nenkin) or SGC (the Australian Superannuation Guarantee Contribution) for a new job, which would you choose?

My answer was kinda d'uh - the SGC but I wanted to see what others thought.

SGC of course... the J system is just a shitty copy of the (older?) US system... which is complete shit.

SGC for mine, too.

Abenomics is going to obliterate whatever effectiveness was left of the Japanese pension scheme (and I use "scheme" in its correct sense of being a plan to defraud).
