Hello !!

My name is Robert and i'm 25 years old and live in germany. This year i want to work in Japan, but unfortunately i don't have a university graduation. I want to work as a german teacher in a language school or anything else. Is there any possibility for me to get a work?, or do i really need do have a university certivicate? I really need help.. I've send some application already to Isaac, Heidelberg and so, but they told me, that i need a university graduation. It's so so difficult. I went to Japan already for 1 year and it's really my dream to life there. Is it maybe a good idea to search for a job in Japan or from germany?

It would be really so nice, if anybody could help me.

Robert

I think Germans can get Working Holiday Visas to Japan, no? Is that what you used for the year you were here before? If not then that would be a good way to get here.

If you have already used your Working Holiday Visa then you are going to find your options are pretty limited. You could go to school here but that is going to be fairly expensive and only lasts 1.5 to 2 years anyway. You could find a j-girl and get married but that's a pretty heavy penalty for permission to live in Japan. ;)

Your best bet is probably to get that university degree.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Why would you want to work here? You're a member of the EU, stay there and enjoy it. The streets aren't paved with gold here. If it's J chicks you're after why not just come here on holiday for a few months, get your fill then go home. There is no benefit to working here, especially without any kind of qualifications and you're not a native English speaker so slumming it as an Engrish teacher is out of the question...

The reason you need the university degree is that if the company is going to sponsor a work visa for you, the degree is required by the japanese government to qualify for the visa. there are sometimes exceptions, but unlikely (for example, if you could show years and years of experience they will sometimes forgive the degree requirement but that doesn't sound like your situation).

Take a look at the requirements for the [I]Visum fü]:

No guarantee of a job here in Japan, but once you get here, you can figure that one out. Generally most employers would prefer a candidate with a college degree, but I have heard of people still getting by with a high school degree. And, you might also find success with English conversation schools -- I've heard of a few cases where Europeans from non-English speaking countries with heavy accents were hired as English conversation teachers. Appearance over substance!
