I'm an American who's been studying in China the last 8 yrs but I accidentally overstayed my visa. Thanks to China's new immigration law, I have a month until I must leave the country for good.
So, now I'm looking for any job opportunities in Japan. I'm comfortable in Japanese (I pay the bills as a technical translator) and highly conversant in Chinese. I've haven't had to job hunt in 11 years or so, so I'm more than out of practice.
I'm also 39 and formerly lived in Japan (7+ yrs).
Any suggestions? At this point I'm not choosy about where I'd live (lived in pre-meltdown Fukushima for 2 yrs and Tokyo for 5) and since I'm unmarried I can relocate anywhere. Obviously, I'll have to find a cheap short-stay place first until I've saved up enough to rent better.
Any ideas or suggestions, I'm desperate...
