Its Interview Time!

Postby Goldman » Sat Aug 28, 2004 11:36 am

Hello! I've been in the Japan for around 1.5 years or more now, but a recent change in my visa status finally allows me to (legally) work. I have a group interview at a kids (really, really little kids, aged 1-3) eikaiwa school in Meguro next Wednesday, and I just was wondering if any fellow FGs could give me some tips to score. Any and all info would be appreciated!

You'll get the job and if you take it it'll be the worst job of your life. You'll end up hating babies and mothers and families in general. That's a warning. But if you really want to ruin your life here's how to get the job. At the interview go on and on and on about how you love kids. You love young children. You love playing with kids. You think it's cute when they cry. They're so cute and you love them so much. Just keep on it. It won't fail.

Example:

Q: We noticed you don't have any teaching experience, what type of techniques will you use to be an effective teacher to young children?

A: Well, I just love kids so much. I want to play with them and interact with them. Sing songs with them. Run around with them. Because being near children just makes me so happy I just can't wait to start. They're just so cute.

And if you see any kids during the interview. Make a big show of it. "Oooooooh! So cute!!!Helloooooooo! How are you???????"And real slow and goofy"Myyyyyyy...naaaaaame isssss GOOOLLLLDMAAANN"

You'll be miserable and suicidal in no time. Good luck.

Steve, that may have been the most 'bullseye' post in the history of FG.

smile ^^

I loved working with kids, tho babys are hard imho, working with children and teenagers was 1000% more enjoyable and rewarding than working with adults.

Go for it, you might love it..!

If they ask about experience you could always claim to help with babysitting in the past

oh, and if they ask you to sit and play with some kids (whose parents look rather anti gaijin) you could always get one of these for them to play with:

:D
