The Mongols are Coming

Continuing the promotion of Asian classical musicians in Japan, Columbia has just released a CD by Yilana from Mongolia. Her mother was a dancer and her father a famous wrestler. Her music evokes the wind-blown steppes, apparently. ZAKZAK (Japanese) thinks she has big tits. Music and video clips on Barks

"Musicat" seem to have a good PR team. They are all over the Japanese press and even made it into the English Mainichi:

MDN: All-girl Chinese music group strikes chord in Japan
Musicat possesses similar features to the Twelve Girls Band, another all-girl Chinese music group that is popular in Japan...However, Musicat members denied that the Twelve Girls Band were rivals. "They are our friends; the rivals are ourselves," said biwa player Zhao Cong...Japanese composer Shigeaki Saegusa says the group had all the elements for success. "It's basically Western music, but the sound has an ethnic Chinese flavor. The members are sexy and cute and display a feeling of liveliness, and possess the good elements they need to market themselves," he said. "They look likely to be received by a wide audience, including middle-aged and elderly fans.
