Following the country's success at the World Championships in Finland last year, Japan is already planning ahead. Writer and broadcaster Kanagawa IQ (above left) set up Air Guitar Japan - slogan " A Happy New Air" - which will be holding a seminar at Uplink Factory in Shibuya on the 4th of March to train the next generation of challengers. The seminar will explain the marking system, performance techniques and the concept of "airness". On the 13th of the month, the group will also be running the 2007 Miss Air Guitar Japan Contest at Milk in Ebisu. A week later, there will be a preliminary round to select the Tokyo area champion at Shibuya Boxx. Defending world champion "Dainoji" Ochi will be making a guest appearance.
