ZakZak reports that Japanese TV has become a lot milder since tighter regulations pushed pervy programming like "11PM" and "Gilgamesh Night" off the air. However it seems that a local channels in Chiba are once again sailing close to the wind. "Za Zokufu 24-Ji" is a fifteen minute slot, broadcast around midnight, which introduces information about sex services. The presenters are led by Kei Shimamoto who has written extensively about the business. His team visit various fuzoku (hence the programme name) or call up "delivery health" clubs to see what's on offer while providing viewers with telephone numbers and details of the system. The programme cannot be too specific about price but gets around that minor hurdle in other ways. One club is described as offering "90 minutes, no options, for around the price of three Wii consoles". None of the girls appear naked and some prefer not to be shown on camera while being interviewed. Shimamoto says that people are unclear about the fuzoku business and his aim is provide decent information. He also maintains, rather unconvincingly, that the places featured on the programme are not offering prostitution which would be illegal. He describes their filming as "guerilla style", admitting that it can be a hit and miss affair. ZakZak says that so far there have been few complaints about the programme but it is beginning to get more attention now that some clips have been uploaded to YouTube. One user has already contributed four complete programmes. The two unsubtitled clips here are from the first show. Former pro windsurfer and DJ Ryotsu Saitoh visits an Ikebukuro "hotel health" where the manager explains that customers choose a girl from a pack of photos and then go to a hotel where the girl will join them for "play". 21 year old Mei turns up and, when asked, says that she likes "hentai" customers. She then pulls out a school uniform, changes into it and the lights go out. Back in their Shinjuku office, the team discuss Saitoh's research. The other shows feature two establishments each including one where customers pay the girls to watch them beat off. Fun for all the family.
