IME power

Postby Harvey » Sat Apr 13, 2002 8:30 am

I thought that IME only works with Microsoft software though.

No?

I'll have to try it when I stop being a slacker.

Anyway, I hadn't tried to install photoshop on my 'xp box' quite yet. Now I know that when I get around to doing it, I'll be in Japanese font images of death! Alright. :)

japanese fonts

Postby sukebekuro » Wed Apr 17, 2002 10:24 pm

just to add to the discussion, i'm running ps 6.0 on a windows me (us-en o/s) machine and can input kanji into ps's text box using the ms global ime just fine. I just wish Macromedia would get with the program, I'd much rather use Fireworks to create those web items needing text (buttons etc), but am not able to input using the IME (to say nothing of Dreamweaver!) ....

re: fonts, you might want to check out this exhaustive (well, looks so to me) listing here:

much of these links are to non-freeware, fyi....
