Japanese Actress Joins Cast of Italy's CSI

[floatr]Image[/floatr]Kyodo: Italian drama starring Japanese actress gets high audience ratings
A criminal investigative drama series, starring a Japanese actress, began airing earlier this month in Italy and has achieved the highest audience ratings in its time slot for the two episodes shown so far, according to a local broadcaster. Jun Ichikawa, 26, plays a leading role in the drama, "Ris 5 Delitti Imperfetti," which deals with forensic science. It is the first time a Japanese was chosen to star in an Italian TV drama series... Officials at the broadcaster said they chose a Japanese for the role because they thought it would add freshness to the drama series. A native of Kumamoto Prefecture in southwestern Japan, Ichikawa has lived in Italy since she was eight years old with her Japanese parents, who were opera singers and speaks Italian fluently...more...
