I saw a show on TV where local police stalked a few phone booths just waiting for a flyer paster to appear and whack them on the booth. Then they arrested him on TV.
(I guess this is what cops do in their spare time here)

Japanese cops are lame.. no violence, no drugs, no real scraggly prozzies with heroin veins throbbing, no serious felons running from the law, shooting out the back of their el camino, no transvestites selling their warez on the streets, not much brutality.. just a bunch of guys in blue gear come running at you and surround you.. nothing too interesting in that.

It's even comical to see Japanese police chase bosozoku on TV.. chase for 40 minutes, catch two members, throw them in the paddy wagon, and show is over
