New Mamoru Oshii Film Opens This Week

Mamoru Oshii, best-known as the director of "Ghost In A Shell" has a new film opening on Saturday the 19th called "Assault Girls". It stars Meisa Kuroki, Rinko Kikuchi and Hinako Saeki. This is the full-length movie version of two shorts which he made earlier: "Assault Girl: Kentucky no Hinako" with Saeki (below) and "Assault Girl 2" with Kikuchi. The director mentioned at an earlier press conference that Hollywood made enquiries about a remake before the film was even finished. More stills here.
