Word institute aims to 'enfosu' Japan's cultural 'aidentiti'

The National Institute for Japanese Language has unveiled a list of suggested Japanese terms for 52 foreign words -- mostly English -- that are routinely used by the government and the media but are poorly understood by the public.
Among the Japanized foreign words that the language-watchers hope to excise are "osentishiti" (authenticity) and "enfosumento" (enforcement).
...The word "sutoresu" for "stress" drew the highest level of understanding, at 92.6 percent, while the least-understood word was "osentishiti," at 2.2 percent.
