The video above reports an incident in Osaka where a gang of 8 boys rode their bikes towards a 70 year old man cycling in the opposite direction. They then split, raising a rope between them and clotheslined the poor bloke. Blogger Zarutoro is racking his brains trying to remember which western had a similar scene.

I think there is a similar scene before involving westerners(i think its americans). However instead of people on bikes, they attacked people on scooters.

You're probably referring to this 2009 incident in Okinawa.
