It is one of 1,500 Torys bars that Suntory Ltd. began helping to set up nationwide in the 1950s to promote the drink, and one of the few still in business. The uptick in patrons appears to be a result of the bar's collection of whiskeys and its retro decor, which has remained unchanged since 1956.
