debut in the 1996 drama “Cyborg,” Takeuchi rose to the industry heights with lead roles in the hit 1999 NHK drama “Asuka” and the 2001 TBS drama “Love and Life in the White.”

won a Japan Academy best supporting actress prize for her work in the 2014 drama “Cape Nostalgia.”

Her film career began with a supporting role in the 1998 J-Horror hit “Ring.” Her first starring turn was in the 1998 teen drama “Innocent World.”

Wonder if there is any reason for all the suicides... I mean it's not uncommon here but usually it's the overworked or emotionally unbalanced. Or could there be any foul play here

In this case, she popped out a baby in January...so on one side of things, it's a bigger WTF than usual for someone in that position to hang herself....but on the other side, maybe it was some sort of hormonal/mental imbalance from the pregnancy?

Sad, sad, and wouldn't be surprised if the Covid-19 panic-demic has something to do with it. The non-stop coverage, the fear factors, numpties wearing masks in deserted streets and in parks with fresh air, constant talk about it, has made a lot of parents worry about the future.

Post birth depression is real and she probably had it poor lady. Factor in the constant hysteria about the virus and any relationship problems she might have had with hubby and you can see why.
Also she might have made a bad choice of husband again. Not saying he did anything wrong to her but just wasn't compatible. Her first husband was a kabuki actor and we all know how hetero most of them are. A marriage to a bi man in Japan is going to be very complicated.
