Image Court: Scientists Can Study Kennewick Man AP Wire / Feb 4
PORTLAND, Ore. - Scientists can study the Kennewick Man - 9,300-year-old remains found in Washington state - despite the objections of some American Indian tribes, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday....it is one of the oldest, most complete skeletons found in North America, with characteristics unlike modern Indians. ... The University of Michigan anthropology professor wants to learn Kennewick Man's origins, and said he might be related to people in prehistoric Japan....

damn, Taro! Now you're threading stories written in De-Portland, Oregon. I'll have to see if we can't find a passport for the K-man and see if the De-Portland INS office may deport his remains back to Asia... :D That should stop all the fuss the Native Americans are having about the remains.... :o
try or try not...there is no do......

I read that the real reason the tribes are agianst this is because it may lead to the discovery that the current Native Americans were not the first people to migrate to N. America. Could have some legal ramifications on the Native American rights.
