My good man, that is an uber-limited edition, buy-it-before-you-can-legally-buy-it DVD, hand carried from the wilds of Seoul, Korea to Yokohama just for this special FG event.

It is now part of the Taro family video library, where it has a special place of honor, perched high on a lofty shelf.
(Mostly because there's nowhere else in his home to put stuff.)

That was interesting but also more of a shock for me to see the real people behind various FG personas, moving and talking etc- but that's just me (what did I expect? ).

True, my version didn't have any extras. Hell, it doesn't even have menus! But that's okay, since it's a flawless copy and I've had it for a month.

They "hype" is self-inflicted, and is part of the joke. The video (and the party) was by, for, starring and about FGs.

If you're new here (which your registration and post-count seem to indicate) you don't know anybody in the video, except maybe Rob, so it won't make much sense. Hang around a bit and you'll learn that a lot of the stuff we do and post is just to amuse ourselves, and not anybody else.

Okay. Pardon my confusion then.

The line that Taro quoted "ah, that sucks" was something Rob said at the party. (Which I then took out of context to use as a punchline for my video.) Those weren't the last words of Lost in Translation - that's why I thought you were referring to the video and not the movie.

Long-time lurker, eh? Well, I guess the resetting of the board is having some positive effects then. It's making people register and allowing us to shine a light under the bed to see who's been listening in all this time.

Wow! That enforced Guest policy (to prevent the flood of TittyGate visits) is really working to flush out the stealth FG into the open. I especially like that you predate"ultra bikkle --- joined 01 Apr 2002". :P

NNNC, it was the party that took place on 24 Jan., while I was in town. The Saturday after the "meet the FGs" mini-get-together at Cafe Lolita.

I think it's pretty safe to say that all in attendance enjoyed the movie.

I'd watched prior to the party (being the supplier of the DVD), but it was cool to watch it again with all the "locals" since they could comment on things that I wouldn't have noticed myself, since I've never lived in Tokyo.
