Fairly Unbalanced: Fox News quits Japan for the 2nd time

This is the second time Fox News has "quit" Japan(last time was July 2002).

TOKYO (Nikkei)--News Broadcasting Japan Co. has decided to stop airing the U.S.-based Fox News Channel at the end of July, The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported in its Wednesday morning edition.

So this channel will be dropped from Skyperfect TV. I don't subscribe to it because it's 1000 yen per month, which is a bit absurd.. They should include it in the English language pack... and tack on an extra 200-300 yen. Then I'd go for it.

I'll stick with CNN and the BBC.

I used to watch Fox News only for Neil Cavuto, and to see Bill O'Reilly beat up on people. But that was when it was included in my package. When they started to ask 1000 yen a month for only that channel, it was goodbye right wing proganda, hello CNN. I still surprised that Rush Limbaugh never had a show on Fox News. I mean they fit together like a hand and a glove. Or in Rush' case a prescription and a drug problem. Sorry that was a lame attempt at humor.

Before 2003, Fox News Japan was free so it had value when CNN and BCC were both running theWorld Tidldlywinks Cup.

Obviously nobody was interested in paying 1000 yen per month for Faux News which regular Japanese TV already supplies.
