Video Business: CINEMANOW LAUNCHES FOR JAPAN
Internet movie download service CinemaNow launched a Japanese version of its service Wednesday through a partnership with Japanese marketing company Transcosmos. Microsoft has joined as an investor and shareholder in CinemaNow Japan...The service has 170 titles available for unlimited playback with a monthly subscription fee. "Broadband Internet users in Japan finally have an easy-to-use, high-quality, on-demand entertainment experience that will boast a diverse and compelling range of content offerings from Japan, Asia, the U.S. and Europe," said Curt Marvis, CEO of CinemaNow and chairman of the board of CinemaNow Japan.

@ 980 yen per month that is rather cheap... Hell I spent 1200 yen for 5 videos at Ukaiya yesterday...
