Tokyo Television/Video Prod jobs?

Postby Freyburg » Mon Dec 09, 2002 11:59 am

Hi there. I'm curious as to what the opportunities for a broadcast savvy gaijin would be in Tokyo in terms of television and post-prod work. I've worked in the Canadian broadcasting industry for 6 years, doing shooting, editing (non linear and straight cuts) and master control.

I can't speak Japanese (learning the language is one of the reasons for coming over), so obviously I wouldn't be trying for Japanese networks and the like. What I'm interested in is places like Bloomberg and other foreign news bureaus, as well as gaijin owned (or at least gaijin freindly) post production houses.

I'd like to avoid teaching english if I can, although if I have to, I will.
