Is anyone on the forums a fan of Merzbow? I've been interested to hear some of his stuff for a long time, but seeing as his CDs are virtually impossible to find here in New Zealand I was thinking about ordering some in. I know he has a ridiculous amount of albums, so I was hoping that someone could give me some recommendations on the better ones to purchase.
By the way, hi everyone. I was going to introduce myself in the introduction thread, but I couldn't think of anything to say that didn't sound corny. I may go back and have another try later on.

Oh, you've got a few "japan-noize" fans here on the board....
I've seen Merzbow twice actually. Once with Zeni Geva, once with Somania. Good stuff...

HS, good luck fleeing Dunedin, I made it out of Dauckland aways back.
Thats the only one I've heard and I don't recommend it.
It sounded like an aeroplane was trying to taxi out through my speakers.
Still, I read somewhere his more recent stuff is better; less harsh, more ambient.... although, yes, "better" is subjective...

Recently, I've been getting into Flying Testicle which is a band that includes Merzbow and Masonna.
