US Moviegoers revolt against "Revolutions"

Postby Caustic Saint » Mon Nov 17, 2003 11:19 am

From boxofficemojo.com come this weekend's projected grosses:

#1 Elf $27,225,000 (down 12.5% from last weekend's #2 opening)

#2 Rusell Crowe's "Fightin Round the World" (wait, Master and Commander) opening with $25,725,000

#3 The Matrix Revolutions $16,300,000 (down 66.4% from last weekend's #1 opening)

Looks like it might be on DVD by Xmas after all.

Tron 2.0 game and movie? Dang, they better hurry up with that movie if they're going to make the 2003 release date.

The only thing I remember about Tron the video game was that, like Gorf, it had a different game for each level. Thus, you weren't stuck shooting the same aliens, over and over and over.... Although I did suck very much at the dang light cycle level.

Ummmm.

That's just proof that shades and black leather trenchcoats do NOT make EVERYONE look cool.

He STILL looks like a geek.

I believe that is from the matrix "flash mob" in Shibuya that was held just before or just after the release of matrix reloaded in Japan. It was seen as one of the early smart/flash mobs and got some ink to fuel that short lived fad (at least pop culture sense...flash mobs still crop up during various protests around the world).

I did a little poking around and found this site that has a ton of photos of a matrix flash mob... (although I don't know if it is the same one...it looks like this one has a FG Neo and Trinity and it looks like they start up in Ikebukuro and end up in Dabia)...There appears to be a surprising number of female agents as well...

I remember seeing that and then a couple weeks later talking to FG GenKannai about Specht's photos and Gen's reporting of the whole flash-mob. There were plenty female agents (black suits are standard biz wear) and a few agents were gaijin.

The Matrix "REVISITED"

Larry Wachowski's wife a little richer.

Questions have remained over Miss Wachowski’s identity until last month when she gave interviews for her forthcoming film Cloud Atlas in which she appeared to have completed her transition with dyed pink hair styled in small dreadlocks...more...
