yea, ive seen the finale. that whole series is amazing. i havent seen the movie tho, or read the book, although i really want to.

in the end of the finale there was a message saying that there would be another encore comming out pretty soon with 30 minutes of extra footage, so im looking foward to that.

They really did an awsome job with the character development and I loved every single character, especially Jinkama Misuzu (Shiraishi Miho). She played such a great bitch and I loved the scene when she drilled her keitai phone into Densha Otoko's head.

They left the relationship between Hermes's mom and dad hanging and no one really knows what happened. I guess they ended up getting divorced. And they left Hermes's past relationship and that mysterious guy that betrayed her unexplored. I guess that was irrelevant to the whole story. Maybe those will be answered in the real 'finale'.

I just hope they won't make it a sappy ending like a big fat wedding with all those otakus that helped Densha. Or worse.. make it a 'to be continued' and into another series or a movie. A lot of these big money making productions tend to do this and destroy what was good.

yea lets hope not. i can see it now: its spring and sakura are blossoming as densha marries heremes and his two friends marry her other two friends. but thats not all, also jinkama marries keisuke, heremes's mom marries kazuya, Imagemarries densha's sister, the ascii guy marries that one girl, Image marries mina, and so on. this all happens as twilight is playing and everyone is yelling kita.

VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, has announced the forthcoming DVD release of the quirky romantic comedy TRAIN MAN: DENSHA OTOKO. The film, which received widespread critical acclaim and caused a sensation in Japan upon its release in 2005, will be released by VIZ Pictures, a new VIZ Media sister company. TRAIN MAN: DENSHA OTOKO will be available domestically on DVD in January of 2007. VIZ Media will also publish the companion manga series, TRAIN_MAN: DENSHA OTOKO, in October for $9.99.
