For the record, I'm no fan either but calling her stupid is, well, stupid.
I can't call her smart, because unlike Cohen and Atkinson who have shown their witt more than often, I have yet to see anything remotely smart coming from her. I'd be more than happy to be pointed toward an interview where you could catch even a glimpse of intelligence, but usually there seems to be a shielding made by her outfits completely preventing any kind of normal conversation. Making money is not a free pass to be labeled as smart... W Bush make shitloads of money, rappers make loads of money... all despite room temperature IQs. The product being sold "Lady Gaga" have yet to be proven genuine and not just another made up expandable trend. (see "the spice girls" for this matter, when under the sunlight, all were giving the same answer to question about the group, "met in highschool, were living together yadda yadda" now any documentaries start with how they where specifically casted to appeal to the widest audience and never even met before the first training sessions)
Once again... the approach "rich people can't be dumb" while being one of the capitalist founding lies don't exactly hold really well against the test of reality... At least Amy Winehouse had her voice and music, the controversy around her were more detrimental to the music than anything else... For Gaga... without the controversy, I wonder if people would know about the music... because it's on the edge of chaotic and painfull... In fact, much closer to Gwar than Winehouse...
