I remember when they reunited in '89 (and released the live "Final Damnation") and the Captain proclaimed during the intro: "We aren't doing it (the reunion) for the money!" And Vanian (or somebody else in the band, can't remember exactly) says in the background: "Oh, yes we are!"

I saw them on that tour and it was really damn good. The next time ('91, I think) wasn't nearly as charged. I've pretty much lost interest since then (even though I own nearly every single thing they released to a certain point).

Now they have two original members and spend most of their time playing around LA. AK, why are you interested in going? Or are you?

Actually, it's more of a public service announcement. It takes me three to four hours to get to the club. Possible 8 hours of travel time on a work night. The last train home stops about an hour from my house by car. So I'd have to get my wife to pick me up in the middle of the night and she works too. I can't drive because it wouldn't be any fun without booze. 6,000 imo is way too fucking expensive. Club Quatro is the McDonald's of Japanese live houses. And I'd say the Damned are a bit passed their time. If I lived in the area and the show was 3000 yen cheaper I'd go. They are one of the first punk bands. They deserve recognition. I'm just too much of a cheap lazy fuck to go down there.
