
Recently found WWII propaganda films to go on sale

Three missing national propaganda films made at the time of World War II have been found and will soon go on sale...
One of the three films is titled, "Ikita Imonbukuro" (Living Comfort Bags for Soldiers) and shows how to make gifts for soldiers on the war front. It was made in 1942....Nippon Eiga Shinsha will market 16 of the films, including the three newly found ones, on DVDs from the end of July...."National propaganda films were deemed as being worthless for sometime after the war, but recently people's interest in them is growing," said Kenji Iwamoto, professor on movie history at Waseda University....more....
