'Japan City Scenes' Mainichi Daily News photo contest
From Nov. 15 through Dec. 31, 2005, the Mainichi Daily News is inviting you to submit your original photos that capture a scene in a Japanese city. Photos will be judged -- based on artistic merit and originality -- by a panel comprised of Mainichi photo editors and other experts in related fields, and will vie for a host of wonderful prizes. Follow the link below to learn how to participate in the contest.
'Japan City Scenes,' the first photo contest held since the Mainichi Daily News became fully integrated with MSN-Mainichi Interactive in July this year, is deeply indebted to the Akihabara Tourism Promotion Board for its generous support and for supplying prizes for the contest winners. In addition to the top three prizes, there is a special "Akihabara" category for photos taken in Japan's world-famous "Electric Town." Good shooting and good luck!

Oh boy, I could win first prize, a low end 5Mp digital camera. I have one image I considered entering in this contest the last time around, but I already have a 5Mp digital camera, the one I used to take the pic.

Perhaps Mainichi should run a new photo contest, to see who can capture the best image of the Newcastle Coal Mining community. First prize, a bucket of coal.

Got a really big version of that picture, Taro? It's cool.
Why do the Japanese always have to have a favorite saying?
