wow.

This just stresses my point that actors and actresses should not be social advocates.

The cheese factor is fully in effect.. suck down a bong hit, pound a couple shots of Cuervo before the flick, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it..

In fact, there should be a new rating for movies:

1 double-chamber bong hit + 2 shots / cheese factor of 10 = two thumbs up :p

That actually looks like fun! Something for the whole family.

I mean, does EVERY childhood memory need to be "Sexed up" with racier versions of what we watched as kids?

I think I like their approach. They didnt even try to make it serious. Just fun.

Did you watch the same trailer I did?

"Racing is in my blood!" blah blah, There was so much synthetic drama in there it wouldn't be out of place on Japanese TV in the early afternoon...

I don't mind the cheese or it being family friendly, but that trailer actually bored me and in no way peaked my interest in the movie. The only thing that makes me think it might possibly be good is that Christina Ricci is in it and she's usually in good movie.

Off topic, but a couple of weeks ago a Nipponjin pointed out to me that Ricci and Anna Tsuchiya kind of look a like.

They do kinda look similar.

As for the Ricci= good movie thing, wasn't she in those Addam's Family movies? :p

For the record.

I took the advice given and had massive bong rips before I saw the trailer.

Will do the same for the movie. I WANT it to be fun. Ive had high hopes for this movie.

Having viewed the trailer, it's either a cult/comedy or a massive fail.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

They look nearly identical in those photos! Quick! Start a pseudo news blog about Ricci moonlighting as a Japanese pop star and watch the obscene number of hits you get.
