Live Japanese Television! Uses Flash h.264, MAC Supported!

For many, this will simply be an alternative to KeyHole or TVU. I have been for many months offering a DVR solution with variants of the Mogulus flash player. It's now been moved to a private server using the JW Player and a 1Gb RTMP.

The quality is probably the finest you'll see from a live stream, but it obviously has it's flaws. I don't have the infrastructure to push out multiple channels at once. There are solutions, but that would require 5, or 10 times the costs I'm currently putting into the project. Also, while the video may be using flash, this also may create problems with users and low end machines. Hopefully the content is compact enough to fit the uses of most, though.

In the mean while, check out the stream and it's quality on the following link:

Nippon TV: http://www.freshverse.com/tv_analog_ch04.php#live

Fuji TV: http://www.freshverse.com/tv_analog_ch08.php#live
TV Asahi: http://www.freshverse.com/tv_analog_ch10.php#live
TV Tokyo: http://www.freshverse.com/tv_analog_ch12.php#live

I can only hope this will work for users wanting higher quality, or for those who haven't been able to launch the well known alternatives. Also, if anyone can get in me touch with Waryas I'd appreciate it. He isn't returning my calls.

Welcome back, shrgnatlas. It's been a long time.

Well, your page does seem to work. I saw a pretty decent quality transmission of the Fuji TV digital / HD live broadcast. It's delayed by about 30 seconds compared to my TV, but the player seems to run smoothly.

shrgnatlas, what happened to your site? Looks like it has been down for a month or more now.
