"Recommended for fans of Lost in Translation" isn't much of a recommendation in my book. Although that's probably just reviewer shorthand for "there's a white guy in Japan and no giant robots."

People who come here and then mope about how dull, isolated and depressing their lives are always seemed like useless wastes of time and space to me, so I probably would have fallen into the "too weird to connect with" category from this writer's viewpoint.
