Most reasonable looking pizza I've seen in a long time here except -what are those white blobs on the thing? Butter? Mayo? Mochi? Banana?

I was very leery of the white splooges on that pizza too, but it turns out to be slices of "mozzarella" in addition to the shredded, processed cheeze-food on Domino's standardPepperoni and mozzarella Pizza.

CALL THE SUSHI AND PIZZA POLICE!!

Postby Marked Trail » Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:40 pm

I'm sorry for I picking on the piss-poor pizzas of the Japanese.
Holy Mother of Buddha, there are a bunch of "sushi shops" in the US that serve sushi pizza made of fucking deep-fried rice!

..
first was a Ocean Fresh Roll, one of the many spicy tuna rolls served at Siori, topped with a bit of seaweed salad with a dab of Sriracha sauce on top of that - sort of a hyper-spicy cherry on top....We went for dishes such as the Judie Roll, a snappy combo of shrimp tempura and crab, with avocado on top; and the Cactus Roll, with freshwater eel below and more avocado above. (They go through a lot of avocado at Siori. You'd think the fields north of Tokyo were heavy with avocado trees.)...
.....My daughter decided she needed a Japanese Pizza made with deep-fried rice topped with spicy tuna and mango...more...

Ah you mean mozzarelloid. In truth the stuff is not that bad on tacos but putting it anywhere near a pizza is unfortunate.

@Marked Trail
Americans love fried stuff. At some of their Japanese restaurants they serve tempura ice cream, tempura oreos, and tempura snickers.

As a card-carrying, STG* pizzaiolo, I am fully willing to admit that pizzas do not need to be made in a wood-fired brick oven and with mozzarella di bufala campana (buffalo mozzarella), but ya gotta draw the line: "Mozzarelloids" are not cheese.
