A shinkansen was brought to a halt today when a snake was found on a seat by a conductor. I thought there might be a "Snakes on a Train" screenplay in this until Coligny pointed out that film has already been made. James Hadfield on Twitter then brought up the samurai vs ninja scene in "The Hunted" and I'm ashamed to say this gem has passed me by. Here, then, is 10 minutes of pop culture crack cocaine.

Since Japan wants to encourage foreign tourism, the government might want to consider staging these displays on a regular basis. The shinkansen is obviously the best setting but even the Narita Express would be a reasonable venue. By the way, if you want to know about the snake story, it's here in Japanese.

Well, while not as grand as the shinkansen, there is always the Ninja trains in Mie on the Iga line
