Hulu Planning Japan Launch

Hulu Planning Japan Launch

US video streaming company Hulu has announced on its blog plans to launch in Japan later this year. The bad news is that the service will charge a monthly subscription. The statement cites "unfulfilled market need with respect to premium feature film and TV content". This is the same market local broadcasters have already announced plans to enter. The Hulu Japan site is already up with the placeholder message shown above.

Hulu Sucks! They're just another Big Brother Internet Company trying to Copyright the Internet.

These are the same type of A-Holes like VEVO.

They tore down Music Videos on Youtube and moved them to the VEVO Channels...although VEVO doesn't charge you to watch the videos, but you gotta sit there and watch some Butthole Commercial(s) for 30 Seconds or so...

Fucking Douchebags.

I am ok with their buttmunch commercials but I draw the line at paying $0.99 USD for an individual 43-minute program of mega-crap broadcast TV such as iTunes charges in the US. :mad:

I'll second the view that you're a fucking idiot. Here in China, I recently started accessing Hulu and I love it. A 30 sec commercial is a small price to pay for unrestricted access to ad-free episodes of shows.

Hear, hear. Plus, I have to use my VPN service to access the US store (since the AppStore doesn't work in China), further slowing down my d/l. I'd rather suffer commercials or pay a flat fee than be nickeled and dimed to death as I watch TV...
