I was going to post this but I couldn't find any other sources for it's authenticity. I was going to ask at the hospital today but you beat me to the punch. It could be a fake or simply a blood type checker but an 'automatic' blood donation machine just sounds wrong.

I dunno.

Come on Steve! You KNOW that machine is a joke---they couldn't take the risk of gaijin donating blood.

The whole Japanese site is a joke with "real" elements mixed in. The Blood Donation Machine is just a Japanese photo booth that has been 'Shopped. Look at the inside of the booth: coinslot, photo chute, painted over with white 2-way mirror....

We're just getting sick of seeing the traitor on TV in Japan 24/7 whooping it up in 5-star hotel and flying in private 747. Jenkins said he was a "deserter" on Japanese TV two years ago.
