They're big in China as well; a close friend had a heaping plate of 'em at the end of the year family feast least year. Not being partial to edible bugs, I passed, but everyone else seemed to enjoy them.

Shrimp: love 'em
Snails: good too
Inago: too sweet

Grubs: think I'll pass, unless I'm stranded in the Outback and starving or picked for some tons o' cash-offering Survivor rip-off...

I ate those things in Korea. I didn't think they tasted like chicken at all. They actually tasted kind of woody. They were OK until they got cold. Then I couldn't stomach them.

Not sure if it's an inaka thing or country wide, but apparently people here, especially some of the older folk, have a taste for bee larvae.

I ate those a few decades ago.

Not as bad as I expected, but not as good to make me care for more...
